Convedia to Participate in Global MSF Interoperability 2004 Event; Company Will Provide Multi-Service IP Media Server Functionality across Global Test Sites.

) in Asia. Convedia's CMS-6000 Media Server, already installed at a BT lab facility in the United Kingdom, will be an integral component of the live interoperability testing, by delivering the media processing requirements for multiple VoIP applications provided by other GMI 2004 participants.

GMI 2004 is the MSF's global interoperability testing and verification event for an end-to-end deployable and operations-ready VoIP network with services, applications, network management, enhanced Quality of Service (QoS), and security features. All the test sites will be interconnected by live network facilities, creating a realistic test environment to examine the interoperability and deployment of multi-service next-generation networks on a global scale. GMI 2004 will test application servers, media servers, service brokers, call agents, bandwidth managers, and other control and management systems against the specific protocols defined in MSF Interoperability Agreement (IA) specifications.

Convedia has been an active member of the MSF since 2001, and has participated in MSF technical committee meetings. Convedia also authored the MSF Implementation Agreement (IA) for a SIP Media Server Interface, one of the IAs to be verified at GMI 2004.
