Control Solutions establishes IIA Quality Assessment/Validation practice.

NASHUA N.H. -- Control Solutions International has established an IIA Quality Assessment/Validation practice to serve organizations seeking to comply with the requirements of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

In order for a company's audit function to use the statement "conducted in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing," the function must establish a program for quality assurance and improvement that includes ongoing and periodic internal quality assessments (QAs) and an external QA at least once every five years.

These assessments evaluate the internal audit and audit committee charters, compliance with the Standards, the organization's risk and control assessment, and the use of best practices. External QAs can be performed by an objective outside party, or through independent outside validation of an internal self-assessment.

Control Solutions has a number of auditors who are IIA Qualified Internal Assessor/Validators. These internal auditors are certified independent evaluators who are well versed in QA methodology and able to perform either an external assessment or an independent validation of a company's self-assessment.
