Contrans Selects ViaSafe Inc. to Meet New CBP ACE e-manifest Requirements.

OTTAWA -- Contrans and ViaSafe Inc. have teamed up to implement the new CBP ACE e-manifest reporting system. ACE e-manifest has now been rolled out by CBP to northern U.S. ports bordering Southern Ontario for further testing before final deployment dates are determined.

Crossing the border today is all about security, advanced information and notification to all trade chain partners. Together, Contrans and ViaSafe will electronically manage and deliver the vital trade information to customs brokers and government agencies to facilitate customs clearance. Contrans will use the ViaTrade services offered by ViaSafe to send cargo information to CBP for compliance with the new advanced cargo reporting requirements demanded by ACE e-manifest. ViaTrade provides Contrans with enhanced monitoring and tracking capabilities that will ensure reduced border delays and provide assurances for on time deliveries.
