Contract with questionable PR firm.Toronto -- In an effort to increase student enrollment, the Toronto Catholic District School Board is launching a $750,000 ad campaign to ask parents to consider a Catholic education for their children. Trustee Maria Rizzo slams the expenses as "a misadventure misadventure n. a death due to unintentional accident without any violation of law or criminal negligence. Thus, there is no crime. (See: homicide) that will squander almost a million dollars while our schools are falling apart" (Toronto Star, 11 Jan. 2005). The campaign is being managed by the firm Navigator, which was involved in the 2004 Royal Bank pro-homosexual program (see C.I. Nov. '04, p. 37; Dec. '04, p. 35). Navigator management team includes: President Jaime Watt, a leading homosexual activist in the Conservative Party 1 Former Canadian political party that merged with the Progressive party to form the Progressive Conservative party. 2 Officially the Conservative party of Canada, political party formed in 2003 by the merger of the Progressive Conservative party (PC) and the Canadian Alliance (CA).; Stew Braddick; Warren Kinsella, who attacked Stockwell Day as a dinosaur; and Robin Sears, formerly Bob Rae's principal secretary. |
