Contract Award for a Hydrogen Plant in Chile.

PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 29, 2003

Technip USA Corporation (NYSE:TKP), in consortium with Ingeniera y Construccion Sigdo Koppers S.A (I&CSK), has been awarded by CHBB a contract worth about US $26 million, for the engineering, procurement, construction and start-up of a 25 MMSCFD hydrogen plant to be located in the Petrox Refinery in Talcahuano, Chile.

CHBB (Compania de Hidrogeno del Bio-Bio S.A.) is a special purpose company formed by Sigdo Koppers S.A. (90%), ENAP (5%) and Petrox SA (5%).

The plant will be designed based on Technip's hydrogen technology provided by Technip Claremont in California. Engineering, procurement and project management will be delivered by Technip Houston in Texas. Construction will be provided by I&CSK.
