Contract Award: SSP-Litronic Receives Order for Security Products From MicronPC; Contract is to Secure PCs for U.S. Army.

SSP-Litronic, the government enterprise division of data security provider SSP Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq:SSPX), today announced that it had received an order for 7,000 ARGUS(R) 2500 FORTEZZA(R)-ready PC Card Reader/Writers and driver software.

The total value of the order is approximately $500,000.

The ARGUS 2500s will be installed in MicronPC ClientPro(R) desktop PCs to be delivered to the U.S. Army. The delivery of the ARGUS 2500s is anticipated to be completed within the next 30 days.

ARGUS 2500 is specially designed to work with the FORTEZZA PC Crypto Card used for transactions and communication within the U.S. Defense Messaging System (DMS). ARGUS 2500 connects to the PC via PCI interface card that is provided with the 2500.

ARGUS 2500 supports two 16-bit Type I/II PC Cards or one Type III PC Card and interfaces with memory (compact flash, static RAM) and I/O PC Cards (serial, parallel, fax/modem, NIC and ATA devices).
