Contour(TM) Reality Capture System Unveiling at SIGGRAPH; QuickTime and WebTV Pioneer Steve Perlman to Demo First Volumetric Cinematography System.

Mova:
WHAT: Contour Reality Capture System, a revolutionary new 3-D
filming process that promises to dramatically reduce
production costs and give content producers far more
creative control over the visual effects process. For
the first time, motion picture and video game makers
will be able to use digital cameras to accurately
              capture and depict full-motion, photorealistic
computer-generated characters and other imagery with
              sub-millimeter precision.

WHO: Steve Perlman is an entrepreneur and inventor, and he is
founder and president of Mova (http://www.mova.com), the
Bay Area motion capture company that developed Contour
and will be offering it exclusively. Perlman has over 65
patents pertaining to multimedia and communications
technologies, Perlman gained initial notice at Apple
Computer, where he helped lead the company's multimedia
initiative, including the development of QuickTime. He
is perhaps best known for democratizing the Internet
with the 1995 founding of WebTV Networks, where he was
the president and CEO of WebTV Networks for four years
until Microsoft bought the company in 1997 for more than
              $500 million.

WHEN: Tuesday, August 1, 2006 - 9:30 AM ET Sharp
