Continuous Vibratory System.

A versatile, high-production continuous vibratory system from Almco finishes small-to-large parts in 3-6 min and automatically repeats the process without any need for worker involvement. Consisting of a through-feed vibratory machine, parts/media screener, return media conveyor and sound hood package, the Model V-1472TF is ideal for automated machining and inline manufacturing applications in which compact equipment is required. All components are mounted on a single base with floor-space requirements of less than 62 sq ft and overall height of 68 in. The machine's tub, measuring 6 ft x 14 in., accommodates a full range of finishing media, including steel balls. Virtually any part can be deburred, deflashed, burnished, polished, descaled or brightened automatically when the proper media and chemical compound are matched to the vibratory finisher, The machine features a variable-speed drive with vibration frequency from 1200-2600 cycles/min. A mechanical adjustment provides a choice of amplitudes from 0.015-0.19-in. total movement, It also features a combination parts/media screener and return conveyor to minimize manual tasks. At the unload chute, parts are metered by vibratory motion into a container, or onto another conveyor if desired, while media are classified by the screener and fed to the return conveyor.--Almco, Inc.
