Contingent of leading Cold Chain experts set to address IIR conference in Singapore.


Singapore will host the first International Institute of Refrigeration's (IIR IIR - Infinite Impulse Response ) Cold Chain Conference, April 27-29, at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre The Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Chinese: 新达城新加坡国际会议展览中心), branded as Suntec Singapore .

Bringing together the world's leading professionals in the cold chain field, the conference will facilitate discussions on the latest in cutting-edge research and technologies, case studies, practical applications of technologies, logistics and transport issues.

The conference is presented by the Australian Secretariat of the IIR (AIRAH AIRAH Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating ), in conjunction with the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA GCCA Graduate Careers Council of Australia
GCCA Greene County Council on the Arts (Catskill, NY)
GCCA Greater Chicago Cichlid Association
GCCA General Conference Committee on Appropriations
GCCA Gulf Coast Conservation Association
) and the IIR itself.

Experts will discuss a diverse range of topics, including technologies for cold chain monitoring; energy efficiency; emerging markets; development of cold chain standards; innovative transport system and equipment design; and horticultural cool chains.

Keynote speakers will include:

* Bill Hudson, ceo, Global Cold Chain Alliance (USA), on global trends in the cold chain.

* Leo Lukasse, Wageningen University and Research Centre (Netherlands), on issues in refrigerated cargo transport such as vast reductions in C[O.sub.2] emissions of reefer reef·er
