Contingent of Pakistan Army leaves for Saudi Arabia.BAHAWALPUR, October 09, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Contingent of Pakistan Army The Pakistan Army (Urdu: پاک فوج) is the largest branch of the Pakistan military, and is mainly responsible for protection of the state borders, the security of administered territories and defending the national interests of Pakistan comprising Armour, mechanized infantry and Artillery on Friday left Bahawalpur airport for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to take part in a joint military exercises Al-Samsaam-3 (Sharp Sword) with Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF RSLF Royal Saudi Land Forces ). Three week long exercise starting from October 10 (today) of this month is a sequel to the series of exercises which are regularly carried out from time to time between the two armed forces respectively. These exercises are planned with a view to enhance combat efficiency, mutual cooperation and understanding between the two Armed Forces.
