Continental unveils upgraded Web site with easier access and dynamic search function; Enhanced site now contains information on all five of the company's regions.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 20, 1996--Continental Cablevision today unveiled a more customer-friendly Web site featuring an easy-to-use search function giving customers instant access to information about a wide variety of Continental services.

The Continental site can be found on the Internet's World Wide Web at http://www.continental.com.

"This is an enhancement of the initial version of our Web site. It's easier to use and provides our customers with the ability to access a range of information simply by typing a key word into the search field," said Continental's Webmaster Ali Goldberg. "The improved site is also more national in scope, featuring more detailed information from all five of our domestic operating regions."

Among other improvements, visitors to the site who are interested in news about Continental can find press releases on a specific topic based on the key word they enter. The site also has an enhanced e-mail system that enables customers to communicate directly with a representative in their regional Continental office. Many graphical features also have been updated to make the site easier and more colorful to view and to improve the readability of text.

In addition, the site maintains all of its previous features, enhanced by the new search function: customers can access their local channel lineup; get directions to the Continental office nearest them; and continue to explore the myriad of cable programming. Through Interactive TV Listings (ITL), users can conduct a two-week advance search for their favorite programs, including sporting events and movies. Customers can also access a list of all programming services that Continental offers and use hypertext links to connect to programmers with their own Web sites. This feature can be found in the "Tune In to Our Networks" section and also includes a search feature allowing customers to find a specific category of cable programming, such as family, music or news.
