Continental Cablevision educator award winners and their students join Dan Quayle on C-SPAN; "Washington Journal" program will air on thursday from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.


WASHINGTON, D.C.,--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1996-- Thirteen teachers who have won Continental Cablevision's 1996 National Educator Award will have an opportunity to talk with former Vice President Dan Quayle James Danforth "Dan" Quayle (born February 4 1947) was the forty-fourth Vice President of the United States under George H. W. Bush (1989–1993). He unsuccessfully sought the Republican Party Presidential nomination in 2000.  live on the set of C-SPAN's "Washington Journal Washington Journal is a political call-in and interview television program running daily on C-SPAN. It usually airs live from 7-10 AM Eastern Time with no commercial interruption (as C-SPAN does not sell advertising or tabulate viewer ratings), with exceptions when special " from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Eastern Time this Thursday, April 25.

The teachers' students, back at their schools, also will be able to participate in the interview by phoning in questions.

The educators are in Washington being honored by Continental Cablevision for their creativity and innovation in using cable television programming and technology to enhance their student' learning experience. They were chosen for the Educator Award from finalists in the more than 5,000 schools nationwide that Continental serves through its Cable in the Classroom program.

During their stay in Washington, the educators will attend a luncheon later Thursday in the Senate Russell Building, when they will receive their awards from Continental Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. It is bordered by Massachusetts (S), Vermont, with the Connecticut R. forming the boundary (W), the Canadian province of Quebec (NW), and Maine and a short strip of the Atlantic Ocean (E).  Senator Judd Gregg Judd Alan Gregg (born February 14 1947) is a former Governor of New Hampshire and current United States Senator serving as ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee. He is a member of the Republican Party, and was a businessman and attorney in Nashua before entering politics.  and Dee Dee Myers of CNBC's "Equal Time."

The educators also will meet with their Congressional representatives; enjoy a sunset river boat cruise on the Potomac; have lunch in the House of Representatives; and tour the Holocaust Museum The term Holocaust museum may refer to:
