Continental Cablevision, LANcity preparing commercial deployment of high-speed data services; Contract for 50,000 LANcity personal cable modems results from successful cable modem trials.


BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 26, 1996--Data-over-broadband- cable pioneers Continental Cablevision Inc. and LANcity Corp. have signed the largest contract on record for extended deployment of cable modems.

Per a two-year agreement signed June 25, LANcity will supply Continental Cablevision 50,000 LANcity Personal (LCP (Link Control Protocol) See PPP.
