HA-LO will target event marketing opportunities for the airline, negotiate sponsorship agreements, and assist in the management and implementation of Continental's worldwide event marketing activities.

"This relationship will enable Continental Airlines to continue to utilize event marketing as a strategic tool to achieve our business objectives, while also providing us with greater resources to maximize our sponsorship investments," Eric Kleiman, Continental's senior manager of promotions and product development, said.

"Our alliance with Continental Airlines reflects our continuing strategy to align HA-LO with rapidly growing companies, while expanding our marketing presence," Lou Weisbach, HA-LO's president and chief executive officer, said. "We are excited about working with Continental and the potential for growth it brings to HA-LO," he said.

"Sales growth for HA-LO in the first half of 1996 was approximately 30 percent, more than double the 14.8 percent increase in sales recently reported for the promotional products industry as a whole for all of 1995," Weisbach commented. "Based on our 1996 performance to date, we are comfortable with current Wall Street projections for the full year," Weisbach concluded.
