Continental Airlines announces competitive fares for winter travel.


HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 3, 1996--Continental Airlines today announced competitive sale fares for winter travel offering savings up to 40 percent off of regular excursion excursion /ex·cur·sion/ (eks-kur´zhun) a range of movement regularly repeated in performance of a function, e.g., excursion of the jaws in mastication.  fares in select domestic and international markets, including Europe Europe (yr`əp), 6th largest continent, c.4,000,000 sq mi (10,360,000 sq km) including adjacent islands (1992 est. pop. 512,000,000).  and Canada.

U.S. sale fares apply to travel Jan. 6 through April 30, 1997, and Europe sale fares require travel to begin Jan. 13 through March 15, returning by March 19. Round-trip tickets Noun 1. round-trip ticket - a ticket to a place and back (usually over the same route)

 must be purchased by Dec. 13, 1996 and within 24 hours of making a reservation for U.S. travel and within 72 hours for Europe travel. Certain travel dates are "blacked out."
