Contemporary piano competition in February. (Competitions).


The Janice K. Hodges Contemporary Piano Competition will take place February 1, 2003, at the University of Texas at San Antonio The main campus is situated on 600 acres (2.4 km²,) at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Loop 1604 near the northern edge of San Antonio, Texas in Bexar County. The university is also one of the UT System's fastest growing schools, maintaining a 12.  (UTSA UTSA University of Texas at San Antonio

The competition is open to piano students from grades 4 to 12 who are Texas residents or study with a Texas-resident teacher.

First-, second- and third-place trophies will be awarded, and the grade 12 winner will be eligible to receive a renewable scholarship award of up to $3,000 per year for study as an undergraduate music major at UTSA.

Applications must be postmarked by January 10, 2003; late applications will not be accepted. A nonrefundable Nonrefundable
