Markel Corp. has launched Outbreak Extra Expense Coverage, which is designed to protect companies from a closure of their business premises due to a variety of contagions, including avian flu. Markel will target the product to its existing small-to-medium-size companies in the food-service and medical industries as well as to educational institutions and property owners and managers. Customers also receive help with risk management.
