WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 2002

Openpages(R), Inc., a leading provider of collaborative information solutions, announced today that Consumers Union, the independent, non-profit publisher of Consumer Reports(R) and ConsumeReports.org(R), has successfully deployed Openpages' Contentware 3.0 collaborative information solution to create, manage, and deploy information for its print publications and web site. Consumers Union will utilize the tools, technology, and applications available from Openpages to streamline the information exchange process for its multiple publications and to improve the flow of information within the organization, resulting in improved productivity and reduction of operational costs.

Consumers Union evaluated a variety of software vendors before concluding that Openpages offered the robust desktop integration tools that its editorial, design, and technical staff required to effectively manage information for its publications and web site. Consumers Union implemented Openpages' collaborative information solution by combining several information and document repositories into a single enterprise database. The first-phase implementation spanned three months, encompassing a complete print and web environment rollout of over 200 users on both Macintosh and PC platforms.
