Consumer checks converted to electronic.

Consumer checks converted to electronic: Accounts Receivable Conversion (ARC), which enables consumers' check bill payments to be converted, processed and settled as electronic debit transactions, is the fastest growing application in the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network's history. As other payment options drive consumers toward automation, ARC enables bills to continue to receive paper check payments from more reluctant consumers, yet still reap the benefits of electronic transactions. TowerGroup has written a research paper on the topic, "Billers Climbs Aboard the ARC." www.towergroup.com
