) of Taiwan will display its i-Theatre(TM) system, which incorporates Kopin's BDM-230K binocular binocular, small optical instrument consisting of two similar telescopes mounted on a single frame so that separate images enter each of the viewer's eyes. As with a single telescope, distant objects appear magnified, but the binocular has the additional advantage  video subsystem into what EMG calls the world's most lightweight mobile video eyewear. Weighing just 2.4 ounces (1.5 times the weight of the iPod Nano), the i-Theater mobile system features a stylish, ergonomically comfortable design with long battery life (up to eight hours on 2 AA batteries). EMG is shipping i-Theatre products to customers worldwide, including Conrad, one of the largest on-line electronic retailers in Europe.

 is exhibiting several new products featuring Kopin microdisplays, including iWEAR(tm) - eyewear specifically designed for the Apple iPod. In addition, visitors to Icuiti's booth (#214 at the CES Innovation Pavillion in the Sands Expo and Convention Center) will be able to experience the DV920 Digital Video Eyewear, winner of the 2005 and 2006 CES Design Award. Icuiti also is offering a DV920 bundle for use with the video iPod, allowing users to experience 150 hours of video on the equivalent of a 42-inch color flat screen.

--MicroOptical Corp., based in Westwood, Mass., will highlight its video eyewear, which uses two of Kopin's full-color, QVGA-resolution (320 x 240) CyberDisplay 230K microdisplays to create stunning imagery equivalent to a 12-inch screen from a distance of three feet. Thanks to MicroOptical's patented optics and the small size of the frame, users can watch video through the device without impeding the view of their surroundings. French Telecom's Orange SA has recently launched the mobile video service with MicroOptical's eyewear.

--Welton (Booth #11-208 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center), a Hong Kong-based consumer electronics manufacturer, is using Kopin's VGA color microdisplays for its Techwood TPH-03 Private Cinema. The eyewear can be connected to devices such as the portable DVD player A handheld device with a built-in DVD drive and flip-over lid that contains a screen, typically 6" to 10" in size. It may support rear seat passenger viewing, in which case the unit is hung upside down from the back of the front seat head rest, and a switch flips screen content 180  (included) and a variety of popular game consoles including PlayStation, PlayStation2, Xbox and GameCube.
