Products from two of those companies, Icuiti Corp. and MicroOptical Corp. received prestigious CES Innovations Awards in the 'Portable Electronics: Audio/Video' category.

, is unveiling innovative new video eyewear products with Icuiti 3D[TM] technology that makes 3D videos automatically functional to the viewer. The new Kopin-enabled video eyewear products from Icuiti include:

* iWEAR[TM] VR920, an interactive video eyewear with built-in head tracking, microphone and audio. Incorporating two Kopin CyberDisplay([R])VGA (Video Graphics Array) The display standard for the PC. All PC display adapters support VGA, and Windows machines boot up in "VGA mode" before switching to higher resolutions.  (640 x 480) microdisplays, it provides a 3D virtual 62-inch big-screen experience viewed from a distance of nine feet. The iWEAR VR920 is designed for multi-user applications like World of Warcraft “WoW” redirects here. For other uses, see Wow.

* iWEAR[TM] AV920, which provides a 3D virtual 62-inch big-screen experience, connects to almost all NTSC (National TV Standards Committee) The committee that developed the television standards for the U.S, which are also used in Canada, Japan, South Korea and several Central and South American countries. Both the committee and the standard are called "NTSC.  or PAL video devices with video output. With an integrated rechargeable battery, it provides five to eight hours of continuous operation.

* iWEAR[TM] for iPod incorporates two CyberDisplay 230K (320 x 240) microdisplays, transforms the small iPod screen into the equivalent of a 44-inch home theatre viewed from a distance of nine feet. It attaches to and draws power from the iPod's bottom dock connector, eliminating the need for extra attachments, interface boxes, batteries and cables.

* iWEAR[TM] AV230, which provides a virtual 44-inch screen at a 9-foot distance, has an integrated rechargeable battery and can be plugged into a mobile phone's AV port without the need for external controllers or other bulky battery attachments. The battery lasts for approximately five hours of continuous operation and can be charged through a mini USB charger for maximum mobility. Two independent focus controls allow viewers to use it without prescription eyeglasses eyeglasses or spectacles, instrument or device for aiding and correcting defective sight. Eyeglasses usually consist of a pair of lenses mounted in a frame to hold them in position before the eyes. .

MicroOptical, based in Westwood, Mass., will highlight the award-winning myvu(TM) video eyewear, which uses two of Kopin's CyberDisplay 230K microdisplays. Designed specifically for the Apple iPod[TM], the lightweight eyewear contains a built-in video viewing system, stereo sound via noise-reducing in-ear earbuds, six-hour battery pack, protective case, and control pendant. Thanks to MicroOptical's patented optics and the small size of the frame, users can watch video through the device without impeding the view of their surroundings.

520 VGA developed by Shenzhen Oriscape Electronic Co. Ltd. of China. Equipped with Kopin's BDM-922K, the eyewear delivers crisp, full-color VGA-quality video in a virtual 48-inch display viewed at a 7-foot distance. Users can control the image contrast and brightness.

The EVG240, utilizing two CyberDisplay 230K microdisplays, has a very slim size and is the lightest (only 1.6 oz) in the market. The EVG920 is a VGA video eyewear using Kopin's BDM-922K with the AV interface. The EVG920C with the 3D feature and the PC interface needs no battery box since it takes power from USB port and video from RGB (Red Green Blue) The computer's native color space, which is the color system for capturing and displaying images.
