Consumer Electronics Luminary, Jim Hamilton, Joins the Board of Wireless Energy Start-up, Powermat, Inc.

NEW YORK -- Jim Hamilton, former Executive Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for the "Fortune 300" RadioShack Corporation (NYSE: RSH) and an industry all star who has served on the Board of the Industry of Leaders of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), has joined the Board of Directors of Powermat, Inc. (www.pwrmat.com), a technology start-up company offering a wireless solution for transmitting energy to power electronic devices of nearly every type.

Mr. Hamilton, who has been widely credited for his experience in helping shape the high-tech industry, said, "Powermat has invented a safe, cost effective, and environmentally responsible way of enabling every surface - in a home, office, or public environment - to be a power supply. This technology will revolutionize the way consumers interact with their environment."

In his new role with Powermat, Mr. Hamilton will work closely with executive officers and other members of The Board to develop a worldwide standard of power access points.

Utilizing principles of magnetic induction, Powermat transmits electrical power via an ultra thin mat embedded in, or overlaid on, a work surface or wall to electronic devices placed randomly on the "power" mat. Powermat enables an individual to break free of cords and wires while continuing to draw power and operate electronic devices.

Mr. Hamilton has extensive experience in executive management, international retail, global sourcing, budgeting, marketing and advertising and brand management. While at RadioShack Corporation he was responsible for all aspects of the company's marketing, management, product assortment strategy and procurement, vendor relationships, global sourcing and store design.

Along with Jason Barzilay (co-founder of Packard Bell Computers), Mr. Hamilton founded Argoquest, a private U.S. holding company actively engaged in identifying, funding, and managing a network of over 50 Israeli-based infrastructure and enabling technology companies.

Prior to founding Argoquest, Mr. Hamilton was President of Boca Research, Inc., a $150 million public company that manufactures, markets, and sells computer peripherals and networking products worldwide.

He has been recognized in the "International Who's Who in Business Professionals" and has held key senior merchandising and marketing positions with both Circuit City and Montgomery Ward.

Mr. Hamilton rejoined Identity Ventures, a consulting, sourcing and investment company that he co-founded in 2001, as CEO.
