Sherwood Partners Inc., a Los Angeles-based business advisory and consulting firm, has appointed Harry Glazer as a principal and senior executive vice president. He will focus on expanding the firm's East Coast presence and providing corporate and business counseling to start-up and established technology businesses. Glazer is a former co-managing partner of Greenberg Traurig LLP, a worldwide law firm.
Towers Perrin has promoted Candace Candace (kăn`dəsē, kăndā`sē), title for queens in ancient Ethiopia. One of them made war (c.22 B.C.) on the Roman governor of Egypt, who defeated her and destroyed Napata, her capital. Another Candace is mentioned in the Bible as the queen of the eunuch converted by Philip (Acts 8.27–39). Block to serve as the director of the company's retirement unit in Los Angeles. Block, who has worked with the management and human resources consulting company since 1980, will be responsible for assisting clients with retirement plans. She most recently was the market manager of Towers Perrin's Cleveland office.
