Consulting Attractive To CFOs: Survey.


Fully 75 percent of CFOs polled recently say that a career in consulting is an attractive option for people in their profession, with more than one-third (35 percent) of those surveyed citing the variety and professional challenge as the most enticing aspects of project work.

 Management Resources and conducted by an independent research firm. It includes responses from 1,400 CFOs from a stratified stratified /strat·i·fied/ (strat´i-fid) formed or arranged in layers.

 random sample of U.S. companies with more than 20 employees.

CFOs were asked, "In your opinion, how attractive is a career in consulting to senior-level accounting and finance executives? Would you say it is..?" Their responses:

Very attractive 20%

Somewhat attractive 55%

Somewhat unattractive 16%

Very unattractive 4%
