Firm official discloses "active" preparations for consulting stock

 at PricewaterhouseCoopers confirms that the firm is making preparations for a stock offering of its consulting operation.

In the March 15 edition of Consulting Alert, Scott Hartz, the firm's global management consulting managing partner, said PricewaterhouseCoopers is "actively working" toward an initial public offering for its $6.6 billion consulting practice.
