:SEAGULL), a leading provider of e-business enabling software technology, today announced that Consultas, the IT division of PubliPresse, the leading Swiss advertising agency, has implemented SEAGULL's WinJa technology to provide Web and Windows access to 1,000 desktops across the software group's branches in Switzerland.

PubliPresse, a subsidiary of PubliGroupe in Switzerland, manages communications between advertising agencies and media publications via its 100 branches throughout Switzerland. Companies or individuals who wish to place advertisements in publications initiate their orders through PubliPresse. Orders for advertisements are input into the Pub2000 application, which runs on an IBM mainframe IBM mainframes, though perceived as synonymous with mainframe computers in general due to their marketshare, are now technically and specifically IBM's line of business computers that can all trace their design evolution to the IBM System/360. . While the application was functionally rich, PubliPresse experienced difficulty in training and retaining employees without a Web-enabled, user-friendly interface.

Using WinJa, Consultas enhanced the Pub2000 application with an intuitive Web interface, making it possible for users to enter text and illustrations for the ads directly into the application. In addition, it is faster and easier for PubliPresse employees to provide clients with detailed information, in order to help in their choice of publication. The application can be accessed through a Windows or browser browser
