Consultant to Present Two Options for Ardmore Redevelopment; Plan Options to be explained at November 15th Public Presentation.


LOWER MERION, Pa. -- The Township township: see town.  of Lower Merion has received conceptual drawings of two options for the Ardmore Redevelopment Plan developed by Hillier Hillier is a surname, and may refer to:

 Architecture, the consultant group responsible for the development of the Ardmore Transit Center Master Plan. Representatives from Hillier Architecture, Econsult Corporation, Chance Management Advisors and Gannett Fleming, Inc. will participate in the presentation, which will conclude with a brief question-and answer session regarding the technical aspects of the options.

"The two options have much in common," stated Anish Kumar, Hillier Project Leader. "Option 'A' includes many of the ULI recommended components, featuring mixed-use development Mixed-use development refers to the practice of allowing more than one type of use in a building or set of buildings. Option 'B' includes all of Option 'A' and adds seven property acquisitions along Lancaster Avenue."

Public comment in response to the presentation will be heard at a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Lower Merion High School Lower Merion High School, is an American public high school in Ardmore, a community in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania.

It is the larger of the two high schools in Lower Merion School District, which serves both Lower Merion Township and the Borough of Narberth.

"Since the ULI visited Ardmore in September, the consultant team has been working to evaluate the ULI recommendations and prepare options for the Ardmore Redevelopment Plan," stated Joseph M. Manko, Board President. "The November 15th public presentation will provide the Commissioners as well as the public with Hillier's plans, options and recommendations in advance of public comment and Board consideration on December 9, 2004."

A recommended Ardmore Redevelopment Plan could be presented for approval to the Planning Commission as early as December 14, 2004.
