Consul COO and Security Industry Veteran to Lead Company's Rapid

Expansion and Capitalize on Market Advantage with

Consul risk management, Inc., the leading worldwide provider of security event management and auditing (SEMA) solutions, today announced that COO Joseph R. Sander has been promoted to president and CEO.

Sander is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of domestic and international sales, business development, finance and operations experience in the technology industry - eight of which focused on the IT security market. Since joining Consul as COO in December 2002, Sander has successfully established and grown the Company's worldwide presence in the security event management marketplace, playing an instrumental role in increasing revenue by 25 percent.

After establishing Consul's dual-worldwide headquarters, in the Washington, D.C. area and in The Netherlands, Sander realigned Consul's worldwide operations to better meet the needs of its growing customer base. The results were seen immediately with Consul's recent successes. Sander brought in brand name organizations, such as Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena and Fidelity, while dramatically increasing upgrades and expansion within the current customer base. Additionally, Sander led efforts to build up Consul's strategic business alliances with industry leader BMC Software and increased market expansion into Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
