"We owe it to the courageous men and women of the armed forces to support them as they protect the security of the United States and the freedom of people around the world," said Edward J. Malloy, president of the BCTC. "This is no time for equivocation. It's time to let every soldier and their family know we are fully behind them."

The BCTC's executive board adopted a resolution in support of the U.S. Armed Forces at a meeting of its executive board on March 12. The centrist labor organization has historically demonstrated strong backing for American troops in times of war and crisis.
