Construction of flood protection wall in village Godda completed.

PESHAWAR, August 28, 2009 (Balochistan Times): For provision of basics facilities, the government of Pakistan completed the construction of flood protection wall in village Godda and street pavement in Kalaya village of Orakzai Agency, these developmental schemes will benefited more than eight thousands locals of the area. These projects were identified by the community members of the respective villages in meetings held with local Political Administration. As for over a decade these villages were left out from the infrastructure development activities. Therefore, the Political administration ordered immediate work on the execution of these schemes. These include 1860 feet street pavements in Kalaya whereas 700 feet long Flood Protection lining for excessive rain water was constructed in Godda of Orakzai. During the work completion ceremony, PA Orakzai Basir Khan Wazir expressed his views about the project and said that, Despite the extremely worse law & order situation in the region, the quality and quick completion of these schemes is amazing. He said that for fulfilling the needs of the tribal, every effort will be made possible. A local elder, Lal Zada and Sahibzada were of the opinion that, rainy weather is going to start shortly, but this time the villagers are not worried as their houses and lands are now protected, thanks to the construction of the protection wall. Syed Fazal Abbas, a Head of Kalaya said that, During the celebrations of the Moharam, people will face no difficulties when the processions would come to Kalaya Imam Bargah from the surrounding villages. The government functionaries have given us the most essential of all gifts. We are really grateful for that. The PA sahib should be rest assures that we will help him in all matters pertaining to administration and maintenance of law & order.
