Construction of a new jami starts in Bishkek.


Construction of a new jami for 10 thousand persons started in Bishkek on the territory of park not far from "Issyk-Kul" movie theater, Director of State Agency on religious Affairs Kanybek Osmonaliev reported to AKIpress. To remind, new jami had to be built on crossroads of Mahatma mahatma (məhăt`mə, –hät`–) [Sanskrit,=great-souled], honorific title used in India among Hindus for a person of superior holiness. Mohandas Gandhi is the best-known figure to whom the title was applied.  Gandhi and Kasymaly Bayalinov streets, however it turned out later that given place was inappropriate for construction of a large building.
