The CMAA Board of Directors establishes the direction and goals for the association, monitors progress toward reaching those goals for the board's members, and takes action on behalf of the CMAA. In addition, the board of directors governs the organization, which includes steering, controlling and influencing direction for the CMAA. With more than 25 years of experience in the fields of program management, construction and design management and general construction, Riverso was named president of STV in February 2009. Prior to that appointment, Riverso was an executive vice president of the firm, and director and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO) The officer of a firm responsible for day-to-day management, usually the president or an executive vice-president. of its national Construction Management Division.
