Construction Events: Sustainable Building Firm Emulates Google Model -- Give the Content Away Free.

PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Construction Events, producers of the Green Construction 2006 conference and tradeshow for Northern California will emulate Google with their event coming up April 12-13th at the San Jose Convention Center. The content, in this case over 70 educational sessions from local and national sustainable building experts, is free. The only revenue to support the event is generated by the exhibitors and sponsors eager to market to the attendees.

"Our goal is to bring building professionals in Northern California the best practices in the construction industry, and this includes bridging the gap between conventional construction and sustainable building and demonstrating the financial, social and environmental return for all parties involved," said Michael Doyle, Event Director for Green Construction 2006. "We believe a valuable consensus is emerging for delivering on this inclusive value proposition and we are removing all barriers to entry to this knowledge."

The two-day event is collocated with Construction 2006 and will bring the entire Northern California building community together to focus on developing and sharing best practices for all types of building as well as construction business development.
