CDC will implement SAVVIS' managed IP VPN services to support secure data transfers, file sharing, corporate intranet, e-mail, and videoconferencing. In addition, SAVVIS' managed hosting solution and server hardware are being deployed in the collection and dissemination of real-time information to and from CDC's customer and partner base via its innovative Lead Manager(R) hosted application.

CDC confirmed that Qwest, Worldcom and AT&T were among the network service providers that CDC considered before choosing SAVVIS.
