Constitution represents real essence of Islam : JUI-F.

ISLAMABAD, 07 May , 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- Deputy Secretary General Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) and former Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Malik Sikander Khan Thursday said that countrys Constitution unanimously approved by all political parties in 1973 represented the real essence of Islam. He stressed the need for proper implementation of the Constitution in all parts of the country. Malik Sikander said there was no need of Nizam-e-Adel, if the Constitution would have been implemented in proper way in Swat. About visit of Imam-e-Kaaba to Pakistan in wake of current situation in tribal areas, he said, the visit would not bring any vital change in the area. He also condemned the suicide attacks carried out by extremist elements in the country, adding these attacks are against the teachings of Islam. Malik Sikander expressed the apprehension that some foreign elements could be involved behind these attacks. About maintaining writ of the government in tribal areas, he suggested that government should try to halt the US-drone attacks in the tribal areas as these are proving counter-productive. He informed that Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Aslam Raisani has convened conference of provincial parliamentary leaders to discuss provincial autonomy bill.
