Constellation NewEnergy Continues to Stand Out Among Electricity Providers in New York State.

Business Editors

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 2003

Constellation NewEnergy continues to distinguish itself from other electricity providers and demonstrate its commitment to customer care and service as revealed in a recent report from the New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
State Public Service Commission (NYPSC). The Monthly Report on Consumer Complaint Activity dated January 17, 2003, showed that during the year 2002, none of the 1,918 cases received by the NYPSC against Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) referenced Constellation NewEnergy. Other major suppliers had between 55 and 154 cases each. Over the last three years, fewer cases were opened against Constellation NewEnergy than any other major third party electricity supplier in the State of New York. As significant, is the fact that the number of cases against Constellation NewEnergy has steadily decreased as the company's business volume has grown. Many other suppliers have seen the number of cases against them increase with time. Most cases on file at the NYPSC represent either customer complaints or inquiries about ESCOs such as Constellation NewEnergy.

Constellation NewEnergy's Vice President, Brian Hayduk said, "There is nothing more important than taking care of our customers. There are many that think our business is won and lost only on price. But this is not the case. Our back office operations such as billing and customer care are critical in supporting our customer's needs." Hayduk continued, "The energy cost management services and personalized attention we offer our customers sets us apart from the competition. We will continue to emphasize this area of our business and try to provide the best customer service in the industry."
