Consolidated Thompson Appoints Brian Tobin as Chairman and Bernard Wilson as Director.

TORONTO -- Consolidated Thompson-Lundmark Gold Mines Limited (TSX VENTURE:CLM) ("CLM" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has appointed Hon. Brian Tobin as Chairman of the Board and Bernard Wilson as a Director.

The Hon. Brian V. Tobin, P.C., ICD.D, served as the Federal Minister of Industry from October 2000 to January 2002.

Previously he served as the Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador from 1996 to 2000 and won two consecutive majority governments in provincial elections held in February 1996 and February 1999.

Mr. Tobin served as a Member of Parliament from 1980 to 1996 and served as Minister of Fisheries and Oceans in the federal cabinet from 1993 to 1996.

Mr. Tobin is currently Senior Business Advisor with Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP in Toronto. Mr. Tobin serves on a number of public company boards including Aecon Group Inc., Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. and is Chairman of the board for New Flyer Industries Inc. Mr. Tobin is director of Persona Communications and the Canadian Phonebook Directories. He is also Special Advisor for the Canadian Youth Business Foundation.

Bernard R. Wilson, FCA, ICD.D, is the Chairman of the Institute of Corporate Directors in Canada. Mr. Wilson is a senior financial professional with a wide array of working relationships with business executives in Canada, the United States and internationally. In addition, Mr. Wilson is an advisor in corporate finance and investment banking and has extensive experience in major financial restructurings and advises on international trade and commerce issues.

Mr. Wilson is a recognized Canadian businessman having served in numerous leadership roles, including Chairman of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce - the largest business organization in Canada with 175,000 members; Chairman of the Canadian Council for International Business - the organization representing Canadian multinational companies at the OECD in Paris, the WTO in Geneva and the UN in New York; Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce - Canada; and Member of the Canada/US Trade Committee.
