The bulk test was carried out while the test plant was on stream and involved the processing of some 1,000 tonnes (1,100 tons) over a production period of 121 hours in 30 days between April 3 and June 18, 1998.

The mill feed graded an average of 3.53 grams (0.112 oz.) of gold per metric tonne tonne

and 230 grams (7.30 oz.) of silver per metric tonne.

A total of 1.4 metric tonnes of concentrate was produced for an estimated total of 1,780 grams (55.8 oz) of gold. One metric tonne of concentrate is estimated to contain a calculated 1,271 grams (40.34 oz.) of gold.

In the immediate future, both the weekly operating hours and mill through-put rate will be substantially increased. The projected tonnage TONNAGE, mar. law. The capacity of a ship or vessel.

The estimated operating cost is expected to increase over the next few months from the present US$30,000 per month to US$85,000 per month on a 24-hour operating basis. On the other hand, the cost per ounce of gold is projected to decrease to the range of US$120 per ounce by mid-October.

Reasons for the low cost per ounce projection are due to the following factors:

- Open pit mining methods. - The soft nature of the ore, no drilling or blasting is required. - The haul distance from the pit to the mill is less than 300 meters (1,000 feet).

- Fuel prices, at present, are approximately US$0.25 cents per US gallon gallon: see English units of measurement.  delivered to the mine site.

- General labour costs are extremely low, (presently less than one percent of the average miner's wage in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
