("ATI (ATI Technologies Inc., Markham Ontario, http://ati.amd.com) A leading manufacturer of graphics chips and display adapters. Founded in 1985 by K. Y. Ho, Benny Lau and Lee Lau, ATI chips and boards are widely used by OEMs. "), a privately-held, $30 million per year battery pack manufacturer headquartered in Mason City, Iowa Mason City is a city in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, United States. The population was 29,172 at the 2000 census (2005 estimate 27,909) and has stayed close to 30,000 since 1995. It is the county seat of Cerro Gordo County. , is the Specialized Battery Company with which the Company has signed a Letter of Intent to Merge. Portable Energy Products, Inc. Merger Update The Company is continuing to move toward the completion of the merger with Portable Energy Products, Inc. Shareholder meetings to vote on the transaction are now being planned for August 1999. In addition, the Company's accounting and administrative functions are being moved to Portable Energy Products' offices in Scotts Valley, CA.

The Company provides proprietary battery charging technology, specialty battery packs, and turnkey battery and charger solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) throughout the world, and is focused on a roll-up of the rapidly growing but fragmented specialty battery industry. The Company is headquartered in Oak Harbor, WA.

Alexander Technologies, Inc. assembles rechargeable battery packs and state-of-the-art charging systems, and is the only company in this industry with a proprietary systems approach to manufacturing. It supplies OEM's in the portable power industry, including manufacturers of portable computers, cellular phones, power tools, camcorders and digital cameras. ATI's 1998 sales revenues were U.S. $30 million.

Portable Energy Products designs, manufactures and markets small, proprietary, rechargeable batteries and battery packs to the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  and consumer markets for powering PCs, CD players and a variety of other hand-held battery operated products, and for standby power backup of file servers and other computer systems. PEP is located in Scotts Valley, CA.
