The results of the treatment by caustic dissolution, at both facilities, on material from the first three kimberlite pipes drilled by the joint venture, have not been encouraging. Although these results are disappointing to the Company, the Consolidated Pine Channel - JNR Resources joint venture will await the results of similar testing of material from the last two pipes drilled, Seed No. 1 and Glinker No. 1, samples of which are being processed at both the De Beers laboratories in South Africa and Lakefield Research in Ontario, before making any decision on further drilling in Ontario. For the present, both companies will concentrate on their Saskatchewan diamond properties, where pre-drilling work is currently taking place. As well, the Company and JNR Resources are engaged in negotiations with a major mining company with respect to a potentially rich base metals project.
