In the 1930s they started their own truck manufacturing operation, Freightliner, now part of DaimlerChrysler. has appointed Martin W. Larson to head a new customer-focused marketing technology division. Larson, named Director of E-Commerce and Marketing Technology, will be responsible for developing and deploying Internet and e-commerce solutions for CF customers. He is based at the company's administrative headquarters at the Leland James Center in Portland, Oregon. "This move is another step in CF's historical evolution from a trucking company into a supply chain management solutions provider," said Joe Schillaci, executive vice president of sales and marketing. "For several years now we have been working with our customers to create information and technology resources they have requested to add value to their business and to make us continually easier to do business with. "We are now dedicating additional focused technology resources to position us even better for future growth. Marty combines a broad knowledge of CF's customers and their changing expectations with hands-on experience in Internet and e-commerce marketing development."
