Conseco Insurance Group Names Sales Executive.

The Conseco Insurance Group (CIG) today announced its appointment of Michael Hoffman to the post of Senior Vice President, Individual Sales.

Hoffman will assume responsibility for driving sales growth through the organization's 300-plus independent marketing companies. He will manage individual sales across all of CIG's product lines: life insurance, supplemental health insurance, and annuities.

Hoffman brings broad experience across numerous insurance lines, along with the ability to build sales systems and develop personnel. Most recently, at Woodmen Accident and Life, Hoffman served as a member of the executive team, responsible for sales and marketing for Woodmen's life, disability and annuity product lines. Hoffman has proven his ability to partner with independent marketing organizations and brokerage agencies to grow the top line.

Hoffman's top priority will be to energize the distribution system of the newly consolidated Conseco Insurance Group. Prior to his turnaround success at Woodmen Accident and Life, Hoffman expanded the traditional offerings of a Nebraska community bank system to include insurance and investment products. Earlier in his career, he worked with agency and brokerage systems, both independent and captive, developing territories and consistently improving return on investment in such areas as sales growth, infrastructure and human resources. Hoffman has brought success to start-ups as well as established firms.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Hoffman holds an extensive list of designations and licenses: ChFC, CLU and CFP, plus NASD Series 7, 24 and 63. He is relocating to Indiana from Iowa with his daughters, Heidi, 22, and Katie, 18.
