Conseco Capital Management Chooses Advent Office for Enterprise Solution.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999--Advent Software (NASDAQ: ADVS), the leading provider of Enterprise Investment Management solutions, announces that Conseco Capital Management, Inc. (CCM) has chosen the Advent Office(TM) solution to automate part of its portfolio management, trading and back office operations.

CCM is a registered investment advisor with more than $35 billion of assets under management, $600 million of which will be managed on Advent Office. CCM will use Advent's portfolio accounting system, Axys(R); its trade order management system, Moxy(R); and its automated reconciliation application, Rex(TM), in conjunction with CCM's proprietary system. Advent Office replaces Security APL at CCM.
