Conroe replaced personal computers throughout the district with 1,700 Wyse Winterm 3200/3235 LE devices, allowing staff and students to access Windows 2000 applications, the Internet and school intranets in environments ranging from elementary and high school general purpose labs, to the offices of the superintendent and human resources department. Wyse's Rapport Management software allows Conroe's teachers to focus on education while the district's IT experts remotely attend to the various computer labs throughout the district.

Conroe turned to M&A Technologies, a Wyse reseller, to assist them with their Wyse Winterm thin-client deployment, and is continually diversifying the use of these thin clients throughout their district of 37,000 students. Secretaries and counselors utilize Winterm thin clients to synchronize the school timekeeping system, while the human resources department uses the devices to maintain enrollment records of the 4,700 employees involved in their district health insurance program. Wyse Winterm thin clients have also been used for voter verification during voting for school bond referendums and school board elections, and the district plans to deploy Winterm thin clients to coordinate an automated bus routing system, as the district buses travel an average of 20,000 miles per day.
