Kowal replaces Acting General Manager Rich Rose, who will remain with the Enforcers as a consultant. Rose will also continue in his role as a consultant to the XFL. "His background in marketing and public relations, as well as his management skills, make him a great fit for us. Since 1998, Kowal has served as Vice President of Marketing and Broadcasting for The Chicago Motor Speedway. In that position, he helped develop and coordinate the Speedway's marketing, promotional, broadcasting and sponsorship sales. His efforts helped the first-ever CART race held in the Chicago area attract a sell-out crowd of over 70,000 in 1999. "I'm very excited to join the Chicago Enforcers and the XFL," said Kowal. In 1980, Kowal broke into the sports field as the Director of Public Relations for the Chicago Sting soccer team.
