Connetics Presents Eight Scientific Posters at the 64th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology; Studies Feature New Data on Desilux Foam, Primolux Foam and Soriatane; Connetics Sponsors Virtual Dermpath for Dermatology Residents.

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Connetics Corporation (Nasdaq:CNCT), a specialty pharmaceutical company that develops and commercializes dermatology products, announced today that eight Company-sponsored posters will be presented at the 64th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), to be held March 3-7, 2006 in San Francisco.

Among the featured posters are three focused on investigational drug candidates Desilux(TM) (desonide) Foam, 0.05%, and Primolux(TM) (clobetasol propionate) Foam, 0.05%. Both drug candidates are formulated in VersaFoam-EF(TM), the Company's next generation foam delivery vehicle. VersaFoam-EF is an emulsion formulation that provides many of the benefits of ointments, creams and emollient-cream vehicles with the cosmetic elegance of the Company's VersaFoam(R) technology.

Posters will be presented in Hall A at the Moscone Convention Center, and will be available for viewing by meeting attendees beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3. Poster presenters will be available at even-number poster displays from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, and at odd-numbered poster displays from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5.

At its booth on the AAD exhibit floor Connetics will be sponsoring Virtual Dermpath, an online resource for training dermatology residents on dermatopathology. Developed in collaboration by software engineers, dermatology surgeons and dermatopathologists at derm.md, Virtual Dermpath is a virtual microscope application designed to enhance the educational experience of dermatology residents. Using streaming imaging techniques, Virtual Dermpath emulates the experience of using a light microscope and provides access to a library of slides with adjustable magnification levels. This tool is critical to the learning process in the field of dermatopathology, as it provides easy access to clinical and histopathological information for almost any disease process.
