Connetics Corporation (Nasdaq:CNCT CNCT Connect

) today announced that it has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a public offering of 4 million primary shares of common stock.

Following the offering, Connetics will have approximately 25.6 million shares of common stock outstanding, assuming no exercise of the underwriters' 15 percent over-allotment option. Warburg Dillon Read Investment bank created by the 1997 merger of S.G. Warburg & Co. and Dillon, Read & Co.
