Mega-Stor DTA makes it easy for users to expand their hard drive, move and archive files, and record and playback large video and multimedia files directly to and from the tape drive.

"With the onslaught of multimedia driven applications, today's users need easy and effective ways to manage, transport and capture large files," said Robert Morris, vice president of tape marketing, Conner Tape Products Group. "Mega-Stor DTA increases the functionality of tape drives beyond traditional backup allowing users to manage data more effectively."

With direct access to the tape drive as a logical device, users can utilize the drag and drop A graphical user interface (GUI) capability that lets you perform operations by moving the icon of an object with the mouse into another window or onto another icon.
