Connectware and Xyplex sign strategic alliance; Xyplex to private-label Connectware switches in support of ATM applications.


RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 1995--Connectware, Inc., an AMP company, Wednesday announced a strategic alliance with Xyplex Inc. of Littleton, Mass.

Under the terms of the agreement, Xyplex will private-label Connectware's family of CELLerity switches through its worldwide network of sales representatives.

Xyplex is a Raytheon company that designs, manufactures, markets and supports data networks based on the Network 9000 Hub for cost- effective and flexible high-performing distributed client/server networks. Xyplex products are distributed worldwide through the company's direct sales force and various sales partners.

Products based on this relationship will be available in the fourth quarter of 1995.

"The combination of Connectware's leading-edge ATM technology with Xyplex's global distribution, support and broad line of products for LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area.
