Connecticut Valley Chapter holds annual Tax Education Day.The Connecticut Valley Chapter held its annual "Tax Education Day" on November 17 at the Glastonbury Hilton Gardens. The full-day session was attended by nearly 100 members. The day began with a very "entertaining" state tax update presented by Paul Frankel, a partner with Morrison & Foerster, and Richard Pomp, a professor from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law The University of Connecticut School of Law (commonly known as UConn Law) is the only public law school in Connecticut and one of only two in New England. He has served as a state representative since being elected to the 99th Tennessee General Assembly. from PricewaterhouseCoopers; a Cuno update by Phil Tatarowicz of Ernst & Young; an update on the President's tax advisory panel by Paul Oosterhuis of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; and a review of the new Section 199 US manufacturing deduction rules by Scott Dinwiddie of Deloitte Tax.
